Is there anyone that has access to records or books regarding Marriages in McNairy Co, TN around 1830. I don't know if there tax records for that time period, but even those would help. I need assistance with a Hugh (Huriah), Charles, and Thankful Morris. I did find them on the 1830 census and Thankful was on the 1840 census. Thanks ever so much. Elaine

Johnita, I'm sorry, but at this time I have no record of your Lucy Barnes. I believe Lucinda was one of the TN Barnes names though and by the family going to McNairy Co there certainly could be a kinship. I'll keep an eye out for any connecting links. There are five columns: 1=district number 2=property owner names 3=number of acres 4=dollar amount of property 5= 0 means they did not pay a poll tax 1 means they paid a poll tax and could vote. For the ones that aren't on the internet: Well I will open my mouth again and will do look ups for you. But please I have to have the district number as the list is posted by districts. Hi Is anybody researching the Reeder surname in McNairy? My great grandfather was Jones Campbell Reeder(1859-1937). His wife was Fannie Varina Hamm. They were born and died in McNairy.
