    1. [TNMCNAIR-L] Johnsons
    2. Is anyone researching the Johnsons of Tishomingo and McNairy Counties? My husband's great-grandfather was Thomas Jefferson Johnson, who married Nancy Elizabeth Phelps, daughter of W H Phelps. I think, but can't prove, that the James Johnson of Tishomingo County was the father of Thomas Jefferson Johnson. Thomas Jefferson had a sister, Rosanah, who married a Pinkston. Anyone have information on Rosanah? The son of Thomas Jefferson Johnson was James William Johnson, who lived in Corinth. Dale Johnson Huntsville,Al

    3. I find: William CADDELL in the 1830 census of McNairy County, TN, as follows: William :b, 1790-1799 est 1790 wife :b. 1790-1799 est 1795 daughter :b. 1810-1815 est 1815 * daughter :b. 1815-1820 est 1817 ** son :b. 1815-1820 est 1819 *** daughter :b. 1821-1824 est 1821 daughter :b. 1825-1830 est 1823 daughter :b. 1825-1830 est 1825 May have been same William CADDEL in 1820 census, St. Clair Co., AL: William CADDEL & spouse * dau in 1820 census ** dau in 1820 census *** son in 1820 census In 1830 census of St Clair Co., AL William was not present. Probate records of St. Clair County showed he deceased, Jane GREEN CADDEL widow prior to 31 Mar 1832. There may be a possibility that Jane may have moved into household of her nephew, Thomas CADDEL in Cherokee County, AL as noted from the census record. Does any of this connect with any TN family? There also may be connections with McMinn County, TN. I have two brothers - William CADDEL and Benjamin CADDEL that both died during the 1830s in AL, leaving minor children. I have find only one descendant...my gr gr grandfather, Andrew Jackson CADDELL and have confirmed that he was the son of William CADDEL of St. Clair Co., AL. Any information is appreciated.
