    2. Sorry to say but I do not recognize the names you listed as being in my direct Cagle line. They probably belong to a distant cousin on down the line. My Gx6 grandfather, Leonard Cagle, came to America in 1732. I have a lot of Cagle's in my database but I do not have the names you mentioned. Happy researching, Robie

    1. [TNMCNAIR-L] EMMA LOU HOLLAND PARHAM PICKLE WAGONER
    2. My great grandmother Emma Lou Holland Parham Pickle Wagoner was born in MS in 1875 and died in McNairy County in 1852 with the last name of Wagoner. Emma was married three times. The Parham line is one of my main lines so I have data here. Emma married a guy by the last name of Pickle and had one son, Irvin Pickle who was the informant on her death certificate and listed as living in Selmer, Tennessee. I have not been able to locate anything on the Pickle connection and would appreciate any leads. Emma then married John Wagoner and they had no children. I have no leads here either. She would have married Mr. Pickle after 1906 when my great grandfather Parham passed away. If anyone recognizes any of these names, please contact me. Robie

    1. [TNMCNAIR-L] MILVINIA RICKMAN CAGLE
    2. My great grandmother was Milvinia Rickman (married Robert H. Cagle) born 1860 in MS. The family moved to McNairy County prior to 1880. Per family members, Milvinia's father (name unknown) married a few times thus there are step- siblings, possibly with surnames of Miller, Moore and Rickman being related. The name Della Moore and Bob Rickman being half siblings was given to me. It is very confusing to me and I have not been able to unravel it. Any help would be appreciated. Robie

    3. Robie, I noticed you are involved with Cagle research. I have been, also, in the past. My deceased mother-in-law was a Cagle. There were and still are a bunch of them in Tennessee. In fact, we attended a reunion there a few years ago. Maybe I might be able to help you if I may have more date; you know, places, dates, etc. Rufus Cagle seems to be a family name as well as Robert, etc. Do you have any information beyond your grandparents? And, did your Cagle members live in other parts of Tennessee, as well? What about other states? He married the daughter of his friend, Jacks Alexander, also from North Carolina. She was Luvenia Louise Alexander, my Great-grandmother, born in the 1860s in a BlackHawk Keetoowah Cherokee Indian village in Tupelo,Mississippi. They had four daughters: Ida who married Dee Holt, Georgia, who married James Parsons, Hattie Louella, my Grandmother, who married Thomas Andrew Burkett, called Andy, and Addie who married Talmadge Damron. Luvenia and her daughters were teachers in McNairy County. In the 1900s Adolph owned the largest farm in McNairy County for a man of color. Do you have any info on his parents and siblings? I know that his father was born in Virginia and his mother was Indian, born in North Carolina. Thank you for any info. 1. [TNMCNAIR-L] White Family of McNairy Co.
    2. Dear Sarah, Unfortunately, I don’t have any other information about the families in this community. I have been looking now for about four years and have found a little more each year about the White Family. My great great great grandfather Henry White purchased 193 acres land in the “Mud Creek” community for $800 on May 29, 1838. I am lacking in a lot of information about this family. 3. Dear Michael, Yes, yes, yes. Our Roach family married into the Wilson, Meek, Parrish, and Howard families. My father was named Howard Lynn Roach after a relative way back. Richard Crump (named after the doctor?) Roach married a Sefronia Meek (but we don't know her parents). Let's see one of the Roach men married Nancy Delana (sp) who has Parrish ties--I think those that came from NC. Now let me see, the Wilson--Juliett Wilson married William Buck Roach in 1831 (I think she was born in AL) and her father was from Liesband, Ireland. We also have a Morrow connection as well as Harris and a few other names. Do you know anything else about those Mud Creek families? Thanks, Sarah ---mdennehy@1starnet.com wrote: > > Hello Sarah and Gail, > > I read your note with interest about your great grandfathers letter > to TN.
