Ms. Jones is survived by four sons, Roger Dale "Buddy" Jones of Huron, TN, Sammy Lynn Jones of Knoxville, John David Jones of Henderson, and Eddie Mark Jones of Jackson. She is also survived by her three daughters, Melba Jo Johnson of Huron, Kaye Busby of Montezuma, and Judy Cox of Henderson, one brother John D. She had 22 grandchildren and 6 gr-grandchildren. Ms. Jones was born and reared in McNairy Co, Finger, daughter of the late Fuller and Mary Velma Browder Hysmith. She attended schools at Finger and in 1944 was married to Sam P. Jones. They made their home in Chicago, Ill, until 1958 when they returned to Henderson. She worked at Chester County Nursing Home for 11 years, and then worked for Morrison's Food Service, and later Hill Food Services at Freed Hardeman University until she retired in 1990. Mrs. Jones died in 1979. RICKY NEAL WHITAKER, age 36, died Mon. Apr. 12, 1999, at his home of a brain tumor. He was the manager of Selmer Glass Company. She was married to Guy Frankie Young in 1929. They made their home in McNairy County, where they farmed. They later lived in the Montezuma Community in Chester County, the Five Points Community near Pinson, and Humboldt, and moved to Pinson in 1963. Mr. Young preceded her in death in 1965. She owned and operated a restaurant in Henderson and later worked as a cook at the Queen's cup Café, and the First Assembly of God Day Care in Henderson, retiring in 1980. She was a charter member of the first Assembly of God Church in Henderson. She was in the welcoming committee at heritage Towers and enjoyed quilting as a living. Services took place at 2 p.m. on Wed., May 26, at First Assembly of God Church in Henderson. Burial was held at Big Springs Cemetery near Pinson. Officiating the services were Bro. He was John William Henry Gilton/Jilton/Galtin born in 1835 and died in 1900. He married Lucinda Jane Page in 1857 in Tishomingo co. My ggggrandmother was Mary Etta (Mollie) Gilton 1862-1933, and census records says she was born in Tn. She had one sister Lucinda Jane Gilton 1864-1931 who married a Presley Garrett. I was told that he died in Wheeler Ms. but have not found his records. I believe that John was born in Alabama. I know his brother James drew a pension in early 1900 in Alcorn Co. Ms. He married Amanda Emmaline Cates Fortune Gilton 1844-1916 and she died in Itawamba Co Ms. Amanda and John had 10 more chuldren William Henry, Fannie Lee, Bella, Ruby K, Mittie Doris, Elena Curry, Nettie Virginia, Johnnie Alma, and Bertha Maud. John's brother James Robert Gilton 1837-1922. Married first to unknown and second to Nancy Paralee Burns. If any one can help with any of this information or records please cantact me.
