    2. We had an ice storm here in NE Texas last Tuesday night. Lost power early Wed. morning. Got it back on last night about nine. I have much more empathy for my ancestors now. We live out at a lake, and have a well, so we had no water or heat. I cooked on the fireplace. NOT FUN! grin We do have a generator in our motorhome, so we could run our freezer and TV. I even got online a couple of times. Happy Holiday, Myra

    2. We have snow & ice in Van Buren, more ice than snow. The linemen are using shotguns until their shoulders ache to blast the iced tree limbs. It is much faster and we get our electricity back on sooner. Some have been without electricity for up to four days. Our gas furnace won't work without power so my husband purchased a zero clearance gas heater for emergencies. But .......that doesn't get me back on line! I had to clean house to keep busy! Ugh! It looks like snow out there with the color of the clouds, but that is the closest we really get to snow, For central Florida, that is the middle of the winter cold. 3. To all the list members and other researchers for McNairy county TN. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season. I will have a White Christmas in the Ozarks of Central Missouri. Each day for several now, it has snowed on top of the original 16 inches we started with last week. I do not have to get out of my warm home, so I can enjoy it through the window. My Grandchildren have their snow man built, and a good sleigh slide track out back They make me "almost" want to join them. Enjoy the updates to the web site.
