Hey, I am searching for information on John Robbins Lott born about 1850 and his wife Amy Catherine O'Neal. I do know they were buried in the O'Neal Cemetery, but I'd like to find out who their parents and grandparents were and where the families originated. I've hit a dead end with these two. Hi Jan Have you ever come across Ross JONES in your McNairy Co, TN research? His mother was Sarah (ROBERSON/ROBINSON) JONES. By 1850 census, his father was deceased, but think he was Stephen JONES. Burial followed at Bolivar Memorial Cemetery with Larry Hughes, Harry Shelly, Terry Brown, Jimmy Davis, Lloyd Cash and Arthur Wheeler Jr. serving as casket bearers. Serving as honorary casket bearers were Haley Smith, Dick Teubner, Leon Johnson, Fentress Casey, deacons of Middleton Church of Christ, member of the Bolivar Historical Foundation and the Board of Directors of the Bank of Bolivar. In addition to his wife, whom he married on Sept. 8, 1959, survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Claire S. and Tharen Haley of Bolivar, and Gail Marie and Michael Russell of Nashville, a son and his wife, Jeff and Kandy T. Shackelford of Bolivar, a brother and his wife, R. P. II and Bobbie R. Shackelford of Savannah, six grandchildren, Jill, Jack, and Trevor Shackelford, Stuart and Forrest Haley and Jesse Russell, a niece and her husband, Lisa S. and Joe Thomas of Savannah, a nephew and his wife, Robert P. III and Alison Shackelford of Selmer, two great nieces, Autumn Shackelford and Kathryne Thomas, and two great nephews, Preston Shackelford and Joseph Thomas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Hall Shackelford.
