The name on the death certificate I am inquiring about is Nancy M. Brush (Nancy Madeline Bishop Brush). She is the daughter of Edmund Bishop and Nancy R. McCollum of Henderson Co., TN, and was born 12/10/1848 and died 9/25/1922. I have been informed by one lister that the burial place is probably Bethesda Cemetery (variant name Jopling Cemetery) between Bethel Springs and Purdy. Does anyone know if this cemetery has been surveyed? And if so are the results on the internet? I have not received an opinion on the undertaker entry. Thanks for the help, Barry
I need some help deciphering the information on a death certificate. The handwriting of the recorder leaves a little to be desired. The death is in McNairy County in 1922. The information I am having trouble with is the place of burial (looks like Bethsbra) and the undertaker (looks like Deaton & Ethndy). Address of undertaker is given as Bethel Springs. I can provide a scan of the entries if needed for anyone who thinks they might be able to help. Thanks in advance, Barry M. Bishop

Thanks for your message. I'm trying to find the father of William Anthony Allen, who was married to Mary Draper. They were in McNairy County, Tennessee in 1860 for that is the year my great grandfather, Benjamin Milton Allen was born. Benjamin's father was William Anthony Allen and his mother was Mary Draper, b. Oct 1845. Mary Draper later married an Abercrombie. Mary outlived both William Anthony Allen and Mr. Abercrombie as she was widowed, and living with her son, Benjamin Milton Allen in Vine Prairie Township, Crawford County AR in the 1900 census. William Anthony Allen is my rock wall. I can't find anything out about him. I know from the census records that his father came from NC. I think his name might be James but I have no proof of this. My questions are: 1. Since many of McNairy County records were destroyed in a fire, where can I look for some possible records of William A. Allen? 2. Are there any subscribers of this List who might have some record of William Anthony ALLEN or Mary DRAPER or James ALLEN? Thanks in advance for any help. Jack D. Allen
