    1. book by C. L. Majors
    2. First, I would try the state archives to see if they have a copy. The St. Louis County Library (Missouri) which houses the National Genealogical Society's collection may have it, and if so can interlibrary loan it. Also check the LDS database at familysearch.org to see if they have it microfilmed. Since you don't have a final title you may have to go by the author's name or even search by county. HeritageQuest may have it filmed also. If you can gain access to HQ, they have thousands of scanned books whose copyrights have expired. By the way, where are you getting the McNairy County newspaper microfilm from? Thank you. Rondina

    3. I'm looking for a book talked about in the 4 Nov 1932 McNairy County Independent Newspaper. It's title was McNairy County in World War by C. L. Majors. But in one of the papers I remember reading that he was waiting on publishing it because so many people would be able to afford it at the time. Anyone know of such a book. Jerry

    1. Re:Legacy and FTM
    2. I've run PAF, FTM and Legacy. I have been turned off by FTM's aggressive marketing. I have not found their reference CDs helpful. I have many of them. Unless they've made changes, you can not send GEDCOMs to other researchers. Currently, I use Legacy Deluxe as my primary program. I haven't decided to upgrade to the newest version since I am quite happy with the previous one. I will keep PAF as a back-up program. It's simple, solid and FREE. Tommie

    3. I have a question. I am seeing many post about the differences between the new Family Tree Maker 2005 (www.ftm2005.com) and the Legacy Family Tree Program. I have used the PAF and ftm7.0 before and have looked in most of the reviews of all the Family Tree progams out there, from all this I have seen that FTM2005 and Legacy are the top 2 programs out there. I am leaning towards the FTM 2005 since it is the most popular but some Legacy folks have made some good points. Basically I am torn between which one to get and am looking for any good solid advice. You can email me off list at familyhunter@myresearchers.com if you want. Thanks in advance.
