    3. I would appreciate a "lookup", too, if someone has the chance. My gggrandfather, Richard Haley, and his wife, Laura Malvina Engledow Haley, moved to McMinn Co from Smyth Co VA after 1840. They are in the 1850 census (with their 8 children & 3 boarders). However, they next appear in the 1860 Knoxville TN census minus Richard. Did he die in McMinn Co.? Would there be anything in the Chancery Court Records Index about this family during the 1850's? I would so much appreciate any information anyone can find.
