Susannah (Susan) Davis Morgan moved to McMinn Co., TN after marrying Joseph Morgan of Jefferson Co., TN.. Joseph fought in the Mexican War 1846-48 and apparently never came back to McMinn county for any length of time.. But Susannah and the children stayed in McMinn County until the late 1880's.. Joseph and Susannah's (Susan) children were: Mary Morgan born 1854 William Riley Morgan born April 12, 1856 he married Mary Catherine Walker on April 5, 1879 in McMinn Co., TN James Morgan born 1859 McMinn Co.
