Looking for descendants of Frederick and Cassandra TATE WILLIAMS who moved to McMinn Co, TN ca 1824 from Pulaski Co, KY. Children who after 1840 resided in Bradley and Polk Co's in TN and Murray Co, GA include: Polly b ca 1794 m Samuel SHORT Robert b 1796 m Hester MCJUNKIN Daniel b ca 1798 Sally b ca 1800 m William WHITE Patience b ca 1802 m Parrish GARNER Shadrach b ca 1804 m unknown Cassandra b ca 1806 m George BAKER Several of these offspring and their spouses were members of the East Annalee Baptist Church in McMinn Co. Samuel SHORT and Daniel WILLIAMS helped found the Friendship Baptist Church in an area of McMinn Co that was later incorporated into Polk Co, TN. Samuel SHORT and his father-in-law Frederick WILLIAMS are buried in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Samuel and Elizabeth KERR MCJUNKIN came to McMinn Co ca 1820.
