Robert Davis, born December 15, 1833, died April 9, 1910, married Elizabeth A. Scroggins about 1858 probably in Polk County. Polk County is a burned county so the record is gone, if that's where the marriage occurred. He is buried in the Old Salem Cemetery, McMinn County, TN. I think his death certificate says he was born in Knox County. I don't know about a middle initial for him of "B". Haven't ever seen it. There was Robert B. Davis who was about the same age and lived in the same area, but I'm pretty sure he was a different Robert Davis, maybe a cousin. Elizabeth A. Davis was born about 1868. 6. Sarah Adeline Davis, born January 5, 1869, died March 16, 1948, buried March 16, 1948 in Morgan/Upper Spring Creek Cemetery, McMinn Co., TN. She married William Edward Stephenson, Sr. (4/21/1862-5/20/1935) on November 18, 1896 in McMinn County, TN. 7. Laura B. Davis was born October 1871. 8. Samuel P. Davis, born April 20, 1874, died December 17, 1909, buried Old Salem Cemetery, McMinn County, TN. He married Laura ???, born February 6, 1871 and died April 9, 1903. They are buried in the Old Salem Cemetery, McMinn Co., TN. 9. Francis E. Davis was born April 21, 1876 and died June 29, 1902.
