Both would have been living in parent's household in 1840 census of McMinn Co. . . . The 1840 Census of McMinn Co., TN might provide some clues . . . pg. 87 - Isaac Gallaher . . . code 2101001 - 1221001 pg. 136- Thomas Gallaher . code 1200010 - 10001 Underlined male child - 15-20 yrs old. I did not see a Sparks listed in 1840 census in McMinn. The 1830 census there was no Gallaher, but there was a Sparks - pg. 196 - William Sparks . . code 10001 - 01001 underlined female - 5-10 years old - b. 1820-1825 Possibly checking land records might turn up some more information.
