I found this in the deed abstracts just posted for McMinn County. My family is the SMITH family - headed by William Smith. One of his son's Israel is giving land for a school, graveyard, church on his land. I would like to know if it can be located today as I'm looking for where William Smith might have been buried Thanks. Jackie 312 22 Apr 1853 ISRAEL C. Jackie I have been trying to figure out Middle Creek all afternoon. I've lived here 51 years and don't know it so it must be called something else now...that is all I can come up with anyway. My suggestion is to locate the Church instead of the creek. It must be in south/western part of the county. I'll ask Mr. Moses next week...see if he knows.
