    3. Bernice, Cumberland Shed! I grew up about 1 1/2 miles from the Shed church. It ceased being used when I was a little girl. One of my best friends is researching the Bracketts (part time). It's prob. one of the oldest cemeterys in Polk. Have you been there? It is on Horn's Creek Road about 1 1/4 mi from Hwy 411. Between Ocoee and Old Fort. Turn at the Curbow Bridge. 1. [MCMINN] Wm Smith & Brackett surname
    2. Bernice Gayle & Anson Raymond
    3. No, we live in Florida although both sets of grandparents, g-grandparents and my mother and father are all from there. We have so many cousins it's hard to keep up with them. In fact we're double cousins. My husband gave up at the Fisher Reunion this past July in Cleveland. Said he had to keep a scorecard to know who's who. When there in July 2002, my husband and I went to Union Grove & Coghill Cemetery in McMinn Co....both of which are family cemeteries for us. I briefly visited Antioch Cemetery outside of Benton going towards McMinn Co since my grandfather, George Thomas Fisher, was just buried there the previous year. We visited Mount Hermon in 2001 when my grandfather was very ill; we got almost all the way home and got word he had died 3 hours after I had left him. I was in upper GA at the time but no one called me at my uncle's. We also have a Mount Hermon page off of our main page and it has all the listings of all buried there so far. We hope to get to more cemeteries the next time we're up that way. I try to get to family cemeteries and others (another family cemetery being Boanerges), and take pictures of the lands, churches, cemeteries, etc as part of the history to preserve the memory of our ancestors. I have some of Boanerges, Mount Hermon, Union Grove, and Coghill. I would love to see Cumberland Shed. Do you have any good pics of it? If so I'd appreciate one. It sounds like we were close to it when we visited Boanerges. If I'd known that I'd taken time to go. Have your friend email us about the Bracketts since we have quite a few already listed. We are related to the Bracketts via my grandfather James Harrison or Harris Smith and his wife, my grandmother, Leola Hunt Smith. We have been told his name was James Harrison Knox Polk Brackett Smith. Although I think someone just added all his family surnames in there. I never got to know my grandfather very well since he lived away from my grandmother most of the time down in Florida and after she divorced after 20 years, he remarried and lived in Adkins, SC. My g-grandfather & g-grandmother (parents of my grandfather) were Wm. Smith & Missouri "Zuda/Zorri/ Zude" Polk Brackett These are the ones I sent you. But it is through Missouri that we are related to the Bracketts Missouri's parents were: (4) John William Brackett * |..... |..... |..... bd. 23 Aug 1867, Gilmer Co., GA |..... |..... |..... dd. 4 Jun 1909, Polk Co., TN |..... |..... |..... brd.
