McKnight, b. abt 1803 in Rowan Co., NC and raised in Maury Co., TN. Later lived in McMinn, Coffee, and predominately in Franklin Co., TN. This Samuel is not Samuel Bell McKnight, who remained in Maury Co., nor Capt Samuel B. McKnight, who moved to Cape Girardeau, MO, althought he may be related. My records indicate my Samuel had, in 1851, two brothers living in Maury Co. and one brother living in Marshall Co. He married three times: 1. Sarah camp of McMinn Co., 2.
