While in Maury Co, TN several of his children were married. I believe the family arrived from SC. I am searching for Joseph's parents and also his wife. These names are not known. When some of the family left TN I believe they went to MO. Children married in TN were Linea D. HELM m Elizabeth HICKLIN (my g grandfather) Dec 21 1815, Mary HELM m James DONALDSON July 11, 1816, James HELM m Jane BURNS Oct 30 1823, Hiram HELM m Susanna QUILLINS Oct 9, 1816, Malichi HELM m Elizabeth PORTER May 8, 1814 and William HELM m Cynthia STUART Feb 12, 1827. Hopefully these names will ellicit a response from a descendent in TN, as the MO Helms and the CA Helms, and all those in between have searched for years without success. The sons of Linea D. HELM and Elizabeth who came to CA were Harmon T., Wiliam Johnson(Joseph?), Chatham E, and Linea D Jr. Others came but did not stay. They came in 1850 Gold Rush
