My Lucy Thornton was born in Pittsylvania VA in 1813, but probably came with her family to the Maury area soon after. Her future husband James Tanner and family (also of Pittsylvania) were in Maury by 1830 at the latest, and according to his obiturary he married Lucy in "Middle Tennessee" around 1832. I'm therefore interested in any Thorntons in that area. Ed
