I have been reading with interest the postS on the "BROWNS" I have been doing research for 2 years but have not done anything on the Browns until now. My 3 great grandparents were Thomas ARMSTRONG and Mary "Mollie" BROWN that settled in Lincoln, CO. TN. My father, Phil Jackson WRIGHT'S mother was Willie Etta ARMSTRONG, daughter of Martha Evaline KING and David ARMSTRONG. David was the son of Rhina DEAL and David ARMSTRONG and this David was a son of Mary BROWN and Thomas ARMSTRONG. I am most interested in McClintock BROWN and Margaret KING. Could this Margaret have been related to my Martha Evaline KING? From what I understand the HARKINS, AMRSTRONGS, and KINGSs traveled together to Lincoln, CO. TN. I find it very interesting that on the 1850 Lincoln CO., TN census there are a lot of young people with the surname of BROWN living alone or with another family. Looks like there are over 15. Does anyone have any ideas as to why? So far I have not taken the time to see how all of the BROWNS in LCT relate to my family.
