I haven't a clue where he connects, however It says at he age of 13 he was converted in a meeting held by Elders Joseph Manning and Ephraim Moore. Rev. John Bell, brother of Mary Lucinda Bell Roberts was a Baptist preacher and rambled around TN and NC...we've yet to track him down. You are probably familiar with the Bell book written by Getha Gina Bell Bells of USA and Allied Families. She has this entry and it appears to have documentation. This is on the CARTER family of VA If you want the full chapter, will put it through the scanner... Under John Carter (June 8, 1725-after 1793). Died in Orange County, Virginia. Son of Joseph and Catherine Carter. Orange County census of 1782 shows John with 16 whites and 30 servants. John married Susannah ?. John and Susannah were signers of many deeds in Orange and Spotsylvania counties until 1787 at which time she no longer appeared as a signer. John sold in January 1793 the place where I now live in Orange County to Roger and Henry Bell. Children: John Carter Jr.. Sep 21, 1757-June 20, 1808 in Spotsylvania County. Joseph Carter married Polly (Mary) Bell, Apr 23, 1791 in Orange County Priscilla Carter ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------Robert Carter Aug 22, 1735-1791 son of Joseph and Catherine Carter probably born in Pittsylvania or Spotsylvania County. By 1752 he was living in Camden District, South Carolina where he married Margaret Brunson, daughter of William Brunson, Sr. and ? Fifth child Dr. Benjamin Carter June 14, 1792-1865 b. SC d. Pulaski Tennessee. His children Elizabeth m. Robert Rodes; Cornelia, m. Dr. Jacob Epperson; 3 Mary Margaret, m. ROBERT H.
