Was here before 1813, as he was mentioned in a deed book. Deed Book F, p 111 shows William Polk of Wake Co, NC sold land to Thomas Stone of Maury County. 300 acres for $1,200.00. This land joined William Cooke & Herndon properties. November 22, 1914. John Stone of Roane Co. TN bought 1,000 acres from John Adair in Maury County. March 1, 1806. (page 54 of Maury Co.
