I am searching for the parents of Lydia Looney who married Levi London on Jan 22, 1828 in Maury Co., tn. On the marriage record it shows the nams as Liddy Looney and Levy London, but on census records her name is Lydia. If anyone has access to these records, could you tell me who the bondsmen were? Does anyone know anything about the Looney families that were in the Maury Co. area around this time period. She says on census she was born about 1808 in Ga. but her family apparently moved to Maury Co., Tn. some time prior to 1828. Anything will be appreciated. Thanks bj

Hi, Someone on this email list, either this one, or the Giles one, helped me obtain a copy of the history of Peter Luna, who's grandfather was Peter Looney. The book is pretty full of Looneys. I will look up Lydia to see if her parents are listed, and get back with you.... To Brenda, I looked in the Peter Luna book by Jane Luna and Leslie Waltman...found no Lydia or Liddie and also found no London at all. So apparently there might have been a different family line of Looney in the area. Sorry.
