This from a book about Early Middle Tennessee marriages. I am looking for an Elizabeth Sanders, born in Tennessee, who married John W. Rodgers, born in South Carolina. They married 10-10-1824, location unknown, then were in Monroe County, Mississippi. In 1850 census, Elizabeth Rodgers and her children, Alfred Aaron, Mary Jane, Saphronie, Hugh M., William J., and Sarah A. were living in Lowndes County, Mississippi. What happened to John W. Rodgers? Elizabeth and her children moved on to Pontotoc County, Mississippi, then her grandson, Wesley Rodgers and wife, Lucy Sanders moved their family to Arkansas in 1918. Does anyone know of the parents of this Elizabeth Sanders? I have 3 Sanders grandmother who married 3 of my Rodgers grandfathers, and I know nothing of these grandmothers. I am in this county looking, because my Elizabeth was born in Tennessee, but I don't know which county and I am just following someone's suggestions.
