Hello Tom, You mentioned the book Maury County Cemetery Records by Fred Hawkins. Where might I find this book? I would muchly appreciate if you someone could look & see if there are any Koonces, or possibly spelled Koons, in it..I have traced my ancestors to Koonce & Barnes line from Maury Co TN..Are there any cemetery listings online for Maury Co? Joan, The following Koonce names are in the book: page 695: Kittrell Family Cemetery: KOONCE, Mary Elizabeth, 5 Apr 1819 - 12 Jan 1857 "Consort of J. H. Koonce" page 777 Hunter Cemetery KOONCE, Henry, 11 Mar 1777 - 10 Jul 1836 Kittrell Family Cemetery is in the Hampshire area, near Mt. Pleasant. Hunter Cemetery is the earliest cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. There are no Koons listed. There is a cemetery site for Maury County on the Internet. The address is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~maury/cemetery/ It does not have all the cemeteries listed in the County. Only those that have been revisited or transcribed by the administrator of the site and it's contributors. Hope this helps.
