Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0hB.2ACI/559 Message Board Post: Hello to all my Maury County research folks. I work part time for a printing company in Mt. Pleasant in Maury County and have been interested in genealogy for many years now. I have helped a few people out through this board in times past and have had many of you help me out. Anyway my boss at the printing company has compiled 2 books (one with my aid) about the Mt. Pleasant area mostly. One of them is a pictoral type history of the area. It has old class pictures from Hay Long High School and pictures of various monuments and homes and buildings in the area. He has collected the photos for years. This book is only photos. The second book that he and I have worked on together is a book about Sandy Hook, a small community 3 miles sw of Mt. Pleasant in the SW portion of Maury County. It does have some history and family stories and stories of growing up in the area. Several stories of what it was like attending the 2 country schools in the area. Some of the stuff we have collected from other printed materials but many of the articles are new ones. The book also contains many photos that we have collected, some new ones, and many old ones contributed by others. He has also reprinted an out of print book about Hugh Cooper of Fishing Creek, South Carolina. The book deals in great part with the Cooper family of the Mt. Pleasant area and of Lewis County, Tennessee. He has done the book in paper back with comb binding. The book is 2 volumes. I do not remember the rules as to posting costs and all on the list so I will not do so. I just wanted to let those know about the books. Please do not respond to this here on the list, but respond to me by e-mail at rgray7824@charter.net so that we do not hinder others in finding the info they might need on their families. Thanks so much, and happy hunting. Rick Gray
