The favor I need, and it's a Big one, has had me looking since 1957; LONG story ! My Ggrandfather, Alexander Wilson Peeples b.1852, Purdy, McNairy Co. Tn. Had 2 brothers and 1sister ; William Washington Peeples b.1850, Savannah, Hardin, Co. Tn. Henry Thomas Peeples b.1857 Columbus, Hickman Co. Ky " Dora " Peeples b. 1854, Purdy, McNairy Co. Tn. I have located all the information on the 3 boys, includeing, a get together of each ones, greatgrandson, my self, Lawrence Peeples,& Ben Davidson. " Dora " has been the problem till last Year, only thing I knew was. In 1860 liveing with Mother, brothers, and step father Columbus, Ky. abt 1862 the mother died and the kids were split up. Family tradition said " Dora, lived with maternal grandmother " *** Hope Your not bored yet, just trying to state all I know about her **** ### TWO YEARS AGO I FOUND HER #### IN 1880 " Dora was living with her maternal aunt " Mary Ann Melugin Riddle and her Uncle Marcus L. Riddle, in Columbia, Maury Co. Tn.. 1880 Census, District 9, Maury Co. Tn. Marcus L. Riddle age 49, b. Oh. Occ. Saddle & Harness Mary Ann age 49 b.T. Occ. Dress maker Eudora A.Peeples, Niece, age 24 b. Tn. Occ. At Home Malissa Ewing "black" age 21 b. Tn, Occ. Cook Mary Church "black age 3 [ for some reason they are listed on two different 1880 Maury Co. Tn. census, same District 9, but a slight difference in age ?? ] I have found no further info. on Eudora A. Peeples or the Riddles, they are not listed in any Cemetery books in Maury Co. or McNairy Co. Tn. that online researchers have. Why would Eudora A. Peeples at age 24 be " AT HOME " not Working or Married ? Did the Riddles, and Eudora leave Maury Co. after 1880 ? Any Information You could find, at your time and convience would be appreciated, especially on Eudora A.Peeples. Oh, also listed in Maury Co. is a; Joe Riddle of Columbus; " Braves, Co.F. 1st Calvery Reg.1 Co.B, 6th Tn. [ Gordons ] Calvery Battalion ** No idea who he was ** I am sorry for rambleing on, but in genealogy I think it helps if you have as much info.as possible when searching for info.
