Cindy M. The Mary Davis memorial stone may be viewed at this site. _http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~maury/cemetery/greenwoodcemetery/dav i35.htm_ (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~maury/cemetery/greenwoodcemetery/davi35.htm) Unfortunately the stone from here is not very clear. This much can be deciphered: MARY DAVIS Consort of R(B)- - a(m or r), born March 31, 1784 died March 25, 1859. Aged 74 years 11 months and 24 days. The inscription from this photo is difficult to read for the husband's given name. Might be Robert or Richard though. That photo was taken before the Columbia Parks & Recreation employed Dan Sumner Allen III in the Greenwood Cemetery restoration project. That stone is probably now readable as many of the uprights were cleaned. Also the stone lying on the ground to our right of Mary's has probably been set up and repaired and might well be that of her husband or at least some member(s) of her family. I have photographed many of these stones since Dan's restoration and may have the answer in my photography archive. I will check tonight to see if there is any help there. If so I will let you know.
