Waddell family was a unit in the 1850 Census, but by the 1860 Census, three of the children were with Louisa Jane Waddell Conn and her husband, Jesse. One bought a lot of William's belongings in the disposition of his property, in May of1859. We do not find any of them after A. Waddell, age 19, appears, with the Conns, in the 1870 census. Missing children are: James S. Waddell b. abt 1837, bought lots of father's things in1859. William T or S, b. abt 1840 Milly A. E., b. abt 1847 Cintha (Cynthia?), b. abt1849 Linda Conn

Linda, I really don't research Waddell's, but I do know there are Waddell families in Ellis Co. and Johnson Co.'s in Texas. I don't know if they would be connected to your's or not. Just a suggestion.
