The Will of Bennet Kirby who died in 1840 says he donated the land permanently to be used as the Wesley chapel Methodist Burial Ground. Bennett Kirby is buried in the Chaffin Cemetery. Is this the same cemetery as Wesley Chapel Methodist Burial Ground? The family home was known to have been in the vicinity. Mr Kirby is the first person to be interred in this cemetery according to the records of that cemetery. Anyone have information on this?
