WE are right now facing all the people who did not know Mollie or Molly/Polly et al are nicknames for Mary. It used to be real common. My daughter is planning on naming her baby due in May, Mary Catherine for both grandmothers, and call her Mollie. You just would not believe the people her generation who not only don't kow Mollie is a normal nickname for Mary, think naming her for her grandmothers is QUAINT! She is doing it anyway! ;-) (Proud grandmama grin) Catheriine
