Bird is buried in Haynes Cemetery near Glendale in Maury Co., Tn. MAURY COUNTY, TENNESSEE CEMETERIES list him on page 474, "BIRD, John B., 8 May 1814 - 25 Sep 1882." There is also a burial noted in Rose Hill Cemetery, Columbia: "BIRD, Inf. son of M/M John Bird. (DAILY HERALD, 22 Aug 1904)." There are three cemeteries named "Fitzgerald Cemetery".
