The front page of THE VIRGINIA GAZETTE of Oct. 11, 1776 lists a John MACK of Pittsylvania Co. as being suspected of being an enemy to the rights and liberties of America & refusing to take the oath. Is this our John(b. 1740 Scotland)? Research of the Gazette files might turn up more. HE was my 4g grandfather. (I have photo of his son Wm MACK)
