James BROWN is listed on page 47, along with a Jane and Thomas BROWN. There is a Wm Gifford on the 1850 Maury Co., TN census in the 4th District. A court suit was filed called Gifford vs Baldridge, 1822-34 in Maury Co., TN: William Gifford for the use of Isaac N. Hill shows that some years ago he sold Alexander Baldridge a tract of land in Maury...gave notes..filed 03 Jan 1832.
