    2. I don't necessarily know that it's a legal matter as much as it's a matter of respecting the privacy of your relatives - would anyone really want their personal info published without consent? Most computer-to-webpage genealogy programs have options to hide living information, therefore just listing names in the family tree and no personal info (birth, marriage, etc.). But, can you imagine what Aunt Fran would do if she opened a book or was surfing the web and found her birthdate along with info all four of her marriages? You wouldn't exactly stay on her Christmas card list. Shawnda
