I must say, I believe it would be a shame to limit what I tell others to a name -- with no date or place. Genealogy is not a contest. I have had so many generous early-generation genealogists share data with me -- I hope that someone will someday say the same about me -- that I was generous with what I found. (This does NOT indicate that I believe the appropriation of another person's research to be acceptable behavior.
