    2. Anna Lee, I don't know your particular lady, NANCY RANSOM PERKINS, but I know the two surnames are prominent in Williamson County and around Murfreesboro. I am a descendant of CAPT. RICHARD RANSOM (1752-1827)who fought in the Revolution. He and his wife, Kesiah Portis had a daughter named NANCY who married NILES NELMS and later died in Georgia. There are other NANCY RANSOMs as well. The PERKINS family is all over Williamson County. There is an e-mail list: TNWILLIA-L. Their website is also worth searching. Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Chuck, I have a Nancy RANSOM PERKINS who married my Randal CHAPMAN May 30 1833 in Greene CoGA. In 1834 Randal was appointed guardian of the 5 PERKINS ch. In 1835 Randal received $289.50 from Estate of John J PERKINS for orphans of same. However, in 1836 Randal died & guardian ship of 5 PERKINS ch. was returned to Nancy. His will left the plantation to wife Nancy, son Marion & other ch?? Don't know if this was her ch or his 2, Thomas D b 1829 & Mary A. CHAPMAN (by Elizabeth TALLEY) or theirs. Hope you know something about this Nancy. Anna Lee >>
