Hi Charlotte, Is this your Charlie Coats? Charles COURTS (or COATS) - 1810, 1811. Married 14 Oct. 1808 in Maury to Clary HUDSPETH; Will book B, page 99, gives names as COATES and late of Hardin County, KY. Letters on his estate given to Thomas HUDSPETH. Not my family just happened to run across this in Jill Garretts Maury Genealogist.
