Jeanine, thank you for the information from the Century Review of Maury County on Cosby Scott and Jane Anderson Pickens. The info on page 253 is about my family. It even mentions Rock Springs where at least two of my relatives are buried. Does anyone know where this particular Rock Springs is and is the cemetery still there? I understand there are 4 Rock Springs. Their son Newt Scott must be a brother of my great grandfather whose name I believe to be John Scott. The info on page 261 concerning J. C. Scott does not appear to be any relative. Other names I have picked from my letter are Jasper Crawford married to a Elizabeth (Lizzie) Scott Overton Scott Tom Scott William (Billie) Pickens married to a Charlotte (Lottie) Bruce John Pickens Tom Pickens Margaret (Peggy) Pickens married to Robert (Robin) Henderson. My grandfather's name was Walter Marcus Scott and he was one of 10 children. He was born in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma in Feb. 1891. Some of his sibling's names are Maury Scott married to Billie____ , Morton Scott (worked for the railroad in LA...Southern Pacific or Santa Fe), and Catherine Scott If anyone has information on any of these Scotts, I would appreciate it.
