Don't know anything about a David Reed, but I am also looking for some Reid/Reeds. I have a John Nolen who married a Sarah Reid Beck on 6/28/1836. Her mother was supposedly Anna Reid. I have no other information and don't know if this does you any good or not. Both John and Sarah indicated that they were born in NC in a census taken in Gallitin Co., Ill in 1860.
