    2. Jean Davidson
    3. I am descended from Robert Westmoreland and Mary "Polly" Pennington who came from Mecklenburg Co., VA to Maury Co., TN in the late 1820's or 1830"s. Do you have any information that they, or at least Robert and children were members of the train? Thanks for any clue, Jean Davidson <davidson@gcstation.net> -----Original Message----- From: Allan Patrick <aeptcp@preferred.com> To: TNMAURY-L@rootsweb.com <TNMAURY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, January 11, 1999 2:01 PM Subject: [TNMAURY-L] Fw: EARLY WAGON TRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >Thought this might be of interest to some on the TNMAURY List. > >---------- >> From: MELMCMIL@aol.com >> To: SOUTH-CENTRAL-KENTUCKY@rootsweb.com >> Subject: EARLY WAGON TRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >> Date: Sunday, January 10, 1999 3:35 PM >> >> Some one was asking about the 'Early Wagon Trains', As to Who they were, >Where >> were they from, Where did they go. >> I don't know about any of them with the exception of the,"PENNINGTON >TRAIN", >> which picked up in N.C., on into TN., down to, Summertown, [Lawrence >Co.,]TN. >> This Train was lead by, JACOB PENNINGTON, and his 5 sons, MOSES, DAVID, >> ABSALOM, WILLIAM, ISSAC, and another relative, DANIEL PENNINGTON. >> >> The PENNINGTONS, as far as I know, made their homes and raise their >children, >> in and around 'SUMMERTOWN, TENN.' >> Some of their desendants still are there to day. >> >> Melba > > >==== TNMAURY Mailing List ==== >If you hit reply to an e-mail posted to the list, it automatically replies to the list.
