Lauria [multiple spelling-Laura, Louise,Laurella,etc.] COONS [multiple spellings-KOONS, KOON, KUHNS, COONTZE, KOUNCE, etc.] born in Maury County, Tennessee, circa 1813, father John COONS. She married David WILLIAMS [born circa 1809 in Montgomery County, Kentucky] on Oct 28, 1832 in Montgomery County, Indiana. They had at least two children - Nathan Jefferson and Rebecca Justine Williams. They moved to Illinois, then possibly to Iowa. Unfortunately, I have no other Coons or any other reference to Maury County. Lauria Coons has also been documented as Lauria Jackson Coons. I do not know if this a middle, maiden, or married name. The parents of David Williams [father -Nathan, mother - unknown] were supposedly from Virginia. Thank you very much in advance! Joan Rogers
