Imagine my surprise when I saw 625 email messages - mostly with Roll Call.
I'm seeking a way to find someone's spouse. All I need to end months of searching is to get name of the Thomas Graham's wife who is on 1840 census there in Maury Co. If her name is same as my ggrandmother, then I will go on. If not, then will look elsewhere. Everything hinges on her name. Does anyone have an idea how I can find out? Don't believe they were people of substance so don't think they would be on deeds, wills, etc. Will be most grateful for any advice. Thanks, Carlene
Wanda, Does your TIDWELL line descend from: Isaac TIDWELL, b ca 1779, Fairfield Co SC + Elizabeth RACKLEY, b ca 1770 - 1780 SC Moved to TN around 1802/04; some of the family settled in Giles and Lawrence Co areas. Myra, I too have been researching my MOSS line and have found it difficult to connect beyond my ggg grand parents Willis MOSS and Sarah MULLINAX of SC. Goodspead's History of NE Ark states that Willis died in SC and Sarah died in TN. I do not know the names of all their children, but two brothers, Joseph and Barnett, came to Poinsett County Ark in 18 51. No proof of were in Tn their mother died but is very possible that, since her husband was died in SC, she was living with a son or daughter at the time of her death. I have names of children of the Ark branch of this family and some family stories that I will gladly share if they connect to your line. My gg grandparents were John R. MOSS and Mary Florance STOTTS. Three STOTTS brothers settled in ARk about 1831. I would like to make contact with anyone researching the MOSS or STOTTS lines. Jean jpasmore@bscn.com
Looking for Sullivan, Tidwell, Lampley, Mangrum, Rainey, Gossett, Warren, Dunn to mention a few.
