The other, my line, was Mary Jemima who was born 16 Oct. 1783. She married a Crowder in Buncombe Co. NC but they moved to Greene Co., TN in 1816. There were so many David McCarty men I have never been able to single out mine. Any connection? Regards, Jean Deal j.deal@erols.com > > > > >

    3. Randy, If they were, I am not aware of it. I'm not sure if my POTTS are related to the ones from Rowan Co., N.C. I can go back to Abner POTTS who perhaps married Elizabeth WEST and moved to Marshall Co., Miss., before 1850. Abner died there and his family moved to Lawrence, Maury and Lewis Cos., Tenn., after 1850. My ancestor was their son, James Henry POTTS, who married Virginia BOLLING. 1. [TNMAURY-L] ROLL CALL: RICHARDSON, WILLIS, PICKENS, WASSON, McLEAN
    2. Macalyne Fristoe
    3. RICHARDSON, WILLIS, PICKENS, WASSON, McLEAN, PUCKETT, PUGH I recently made a swing through Wilkes and Richmond Counties in Georgia and Maury Co. in Tennessee looking for evidence to connect my 5G grandfather, Thomas RICHARDSON, father of Willis RICHARDSON (d. 1838, Maury Co., TN) to the Thomas RICHARDSON of Wilkes Co., GA, who was the son of William RICHARDSON (b. < 1755, d. 1807). I found a lot materials full of suggestions but no cinching proof. My mother and grandmother lived in the same house with the widow and daughter of Willis Burkett RICHARDSON in Lawrenceburg, TN (in other words, for a while it was a four-generation household). They spent a great deal of effort documenting other aspects of family history but treated the RICHARDSON family lore as a given. I am trying to fill in the undocumented gaps. There were many WILLIS and RICHARDSON families in Wilkes Co. I know that RICHARDSONs from Wilkes Co., GA, who were married to WILLISes, moved to Maury Co. in the early 1800s, but I have not yet found records connecting my Willis RICHARDSON to them, only family lore. Can anyone help with this? I will be glad to swap what I have found with others who are interested in RICHARDSON and WILLIS details. Macalyne Watkins Fristoe Lafayette, IN Transplanted Tennessean
