Hi Nell, I wonder if you have the right "Gene." I don't recognize the names you mention. My Maurey surnames are LEEPER (LEIPER) and probably TIDWELL. I have sold the book already. Answering your question about the layout of the book. It is primarily written about the various communities and lists various families of these communities. It does contain some pictures, mostly of buildings. A very good book for those who have a lot of connection to Maury County. Crandall
Sorry, Pat. I have already sold the book to the first responder. Thanks, Crandall
Everyone; Thank you for your concern. Yes TN was hit hard. We lost nine people here in Madison Co, TN, one in Hardeman Co and one in Henderson Co. Many people are without anything. I live in Hardeman Co and will try to keep you informed. I have family in Maury Co and so far they are all ok. Keep the prayers coming. Charlotte
I may be interested in purchasing the book but could you tell me how the book is laid out.. thanks Dani

Hi Dianne, Who are your Gardners in Maury, Lewis County areas? Mine were William Garner/Gardner and wife, Sarah A. Reiger and Wm. had a brother, Lewis Garner who lived there in Maury or Lewis from about 1810 to right before 1820 when he moved to Lauderdale Co., AL. Wm. was b. in 1777 in Pittsylvania Co., VA, and Sarah A. Reiger was d/o Jacob Reiger. Lewis Garner m. a sister of Sarah, and her name was Betsey. Do this ring any bells? Wm. and Sarah had ch: James Runnels Garner, and William Lee Garner and Eliz. Runnels Garner and a Samuel Harrison Garner, I think (on the last child anyway). Eliz. R. Garner m. James Currey III and James R. Garner m. Sarah Curry, sister of James Currey III. Don't have the info before me so can't remember who William married or the other one either. I am seeking information on an African American CHAPPELL family that lived in Maury County from at least 1860 to an unknown date. Does anyone have any information? B.K. Chappell
Thomason/Thomison/Thomeson - Looking for any information on any Thomason in Maury County, TN and the surrounding areas/counties. I know my line went through here or even lived here before moving on to Ilinois and eventually Kentucky. First name of Joseph seems to be prevalent in my line. Hope to hear from someone soon. Pat Thomason Dampier
Gene, I forgot, I always thought that the Henslee's came from Athens, Alabama, just over the line from Tenn. Nell
Gene, I called Mrs.. Henslee and we talked for a long while. My Thomason line and her Henslee's are intermarried. She said that I could come over and get that book and she said that it is not a big one. It is just pages, not in book form. (That is not what I was told). Anyway, I gave her your address. I do plan to go get the book tomorrow, Lord willing and visitors absent. If I find something that looks outstanding, I will send it on the net. She said there were 2 brothers and this story is the one about Eben Henslee. I will let you know. In the meantime, she will write to you. Nell Powell Thomason
Are there any people out there researching the Rivers name? I have Grady Campbell son of W.C. and Nettie Rivers Campbell. Nettie Rivers was my wives grandmother. Nettie's parents were John and Narcissus Caldonia Bryson Rivers. John Rivers dad was Jones Rivers, Doanie Bryson's parents were Columbus "Lum" and Margaret Bryson. These were mostly Hickman county people I think but did move/cross into Perry County. Gene Stephens, TN
