Bird is buried in Haynes Cemetery near Glendale in Maury Co., Tn. MAURY COUNTY, TENNESSEE CEMETERIES list him on page 474, "BIRD, John B., 8 May 1814 - 25 Sep 1882." There is also a burial noted in Rose Hill Cemetery, Columbia: "BIRD, Inf. son of M/M John Bird. (DAILY HERALD, 22 Aug 1904)." There are three cemeteries named "Fitzgerald Cemetery". They are all on the north side of Duck River in the Knob Creek/Carter's Creek communities. I hope that this helps a bit. Lottaluck. Fred Hawkins.

    1. [TNMAURY-L] WARFIELD
    2. I am just beginning doing research on Burton & Anna WARFIELD who lived in Maury County, TN during and after the Civil War. From a letter of transfer I know they were members of the Cathey's Creek Church of Christ. The 1860 census shows them in Dist. 10 Williamsport. The 1870 and 1880 census records show them in Dist. 16 Hampshire. They moved to Crawford Co., Arkansas sometime after the 1880 census. Burton WARFIELD was a Confederate Lt. with the 1st Tennessee Calvalry and also the 2nd Batt. TN Calvalry. He was captured sometime in 1863 and was a prisoner of war until the end of the war. Any information that anyone can give me concerning this family and these particular Civil War units would be greatly appreciated! Tricia Angel BlueA92@aol.com

I would suggest that you go through the film for Maury County because I knew like you that my grandparents also got married in Maury County. I tried all the other counties but no luck, but I found them on the microfilm. Pat

    1. [TNMAURY-L] Re: Amerson/Green/Gibson
    2. Hi, I am new to this list. I would like to know if anyone out there is researching Amersons, Gibsons or Greens?? James Green who had a daughter named Sarah (born 1852 in Maury Co.) Sarah married a J.D. Gibson in 1872 also in Maury Co. Does anyone know of James or Sarah?????? The Gibson family lived in Maury Co from about 1860 - ?? The Amerson family was in Maury Co later in the 1880's and early 1900's. Rosa Bell Gibson (Sarah's daughter) returned to Maury Co in 1908 to marry Louis Marvin Amerson. Unknown why they married there. Unknown if any of the Gibsons were still there. Possible that Louis' sister Mary Ball and her husband Raymond lived there. Would love to hear from and share info with anyone connected to these families. Thanks Robin Lynn Amerson
