Subject: Hensley/Churchwell Date: Thu, 18 Feb 1999 07:34:14 EST From: LIBEALL@aol.com To: Bob@VanDyke.net I saw your post to the Hensley list on Feb. 5. I am researching the Hensley family (my father's grandmother was a Hensley) and the Churchwell family (my mother is a Churchwell). My Churchwell's are from Alabama by way of North Carolina and Virginia. I belong to a Churchwell email group and we share what Churchwell info that we have. Would you like to join this group? It's kind of like rootsweb - we are just on our own. Have you done much on the Churchwell family? My Hensley family is James and Martha of Floyd County, Kentucky. Then Jacob Goodman Hensely in Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri. My family then went into Kansas then Texas. Would love to share. Linda Weldon -- Robert C. I just received this from a friend. The Original Joke of the Day ___________________________________________________________ A pastor of a church had previously been a sailor. He was very aware that ships are addresses as "she" and "her". He often wondered what gender computers should be addressed. To answer that question, he set up two group of computer experts. The first group was composed of women, and the second of men. Each group was asked to recommend whether computer should be referred to in the feminine gender, or the masculine gender. They were asked to give 4 reasons for their recommendations. The group of women reported that computers should be referred to in the masculine gender because: 1. In order to get their attention you have to turn them on. 2. The have a lot of data, but are still clueless. 3. The are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they are the problem. 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer you could have had a better model. The men, on the other hand, concluded that computers should be referred to in the feminine gender because: 1. No one but the Creator understands their internal logic. 2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else. 3. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later retrieval. 4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half of your paycheck on accessories for it and a few months later thinking: "If I had only waited a little while, I could have done a lot better." Take care. Fred.

Can anyone find any dates on when Greenberry Middleton was born or died. I have a death date of approx 1870. Does anyone have any census records that shows this family? I think they lived either in Perry County or Decatur County. Where can one find information about soldiers who served in the Mexican War? Greenberry and Martha Tracy Middleton are buried in Craig Cemetery in Cedar Creek, Furnace Hollow, southwest Perry county. Greenberry Middleton served in Company A 3rd Tennessee Volunteers during the Mexican War, 1846 1848. Gene Stephens

It is on page 294. Says: "Julia A. (Macnabb) was dau. of Andy Culberson." In article it says that Julia A. was wife of J. R. Macnabb, etc. Hope this helps a little bit. Lottaluck. Fred Hawkins.

Century Review of Maury County - Supplement to Maury County I have a copy of page 246. At the top of this page is a reference to a Hensley. Most of the information is on page 245. Can someone let me know what is on page 245 that ties with the paragraph top of page 246. Thanks, Gene
My Maury County surnames are DYCUS, PICKARD, and COX
All of the above names married into the Boshears line starting with Jason Wilson Boshears married Lucinda Burks first and Winnie Weaver second. Between the two wives he had 20 children. These children married into the other surnames in and around Maury Co., 1830- 1870. Please contact me if you think we may connect. Thank you. Charlotte
