    1. [TNMAURY-L] Re: Obits - Maury County
    2. Several years ago I purchased microfilm copies of obits of some of my Maury County relatives. In going through the records I find that other obits are on the same page. I thought perhaps someone might like a copy and I will gladly mail it to them. The ones I have at present are: Mrs. Ida Maxey Wood, widow of Rev. M. A. Maxey who married Mr. Wood of Nashville. (Maury Democrat 17 Apr 1890.) Joe A. Irvine (Maury Democrat 17 Apr 1890.)

The Isham Brown line in Giles and our Browns in Maury besides the GG Grandfather Brown that I haven't been able to trace, and the Gen. John Calvin line in Giles. Maybe you don't have Col. Joseph Brown's letter to his 1st cousin Gov. Joseph Emmerson Brown of GA., who is also our James Brown's 1st cousin. It's priceless family history. 1. Re: [TNMAURY-L] BROWNS OF MAURY CO TN
    2. I have been reading with interest the postS on the "BROWNS" I have been doing research for 2 years but have not done anything on the Browns until now. My 3 great grandparents were Thomas ARMSTRONG and Mary "Mollie" BROWN that settled in Lincoln, CO. TN. My father, Phil Jackson WRIGHT'S mother was Willie Etta ARMSTRONG, daughter of Martha Evaline KING and David ARMSTRONG. David was the son of Rhina DEAL and David ARMSTRONG and this David was a son of Mary BROWN and Thomas ARMSTRONG. I am most interested in McClintock BROWN and Margaret KING. Could this Margaret have been related to my Martha Evaline KING? From what I understand the HARKINS, AMRSTRONGS, and KINGSs traveled together to Lincoln, CO. TN. I find it very interesting that on the 1850 Lincoln CO., TN census there are a lot of young people with the surname of BROWN living alone or with another family. Looks like there are over 15. Does anyone have any ideas as to why? So far I have not taken the time to see how all of the BROWNS in LCT relate to my family. Would enjoy exchanging information if what I have on the ARMSTRONGS, KINGS, and WRIGHTS would be helpful to someone else on this list. Julia (Wright) Molitz Newport Coast, CA

Also, friend John GILCHRIST and Jean (Jane) SMITH, administrators. Witnesses Robert DOAK, John GILCHRIST, and George EGNEW. Most likely, Ebenezer SMITH's wife was Jane PORTER. Ebenezer SMITH m. Jane PORTER 6 Oct. 1805 in Davidson Co., TN. Also, Levy (Levi) SMITH probably married Frances M. DOAK, daugher of Robert DOAK. I would like to know anything about Ebenezer SMITH and Jane PORTER.
