    3. Renea, I have, "Marching Out of the Mist Into The Light," by Judith A. Strange. It contains the rosters for the TN Confederate Home at Nashville and it's cemetery. (located on the grounds of the Hermitage.) I found the following entry which I copied verbatim: High, Ben R., Inmate #322. Received 20th November 1900, Date of Birth[28th] October 1835, TN, Smith, Enlisted C. S. Army May 1861, Private, Company E 8th TN Infantry, Discharge 1864, Private, Lists Riddleton TN as present address, Occupation farmer, Date of Death 27th December 1906, Remarks: Smith, [Buried in Home Cemetery Grave #153. Grave formerly occupied by Wm. Mangan]. There is no stone. -Paul Beatty ----- Original Message ----- From: Renea <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, December 17, 1999 3:33 PM Subject: [TNMARSHA] TN Confederate Home > Does anyone have more info concerning the Confederate Home.
