Christopher, I haven't made a request about research, but I need to make one. For several years I have been trying to make a connection between Presley George Hackney and John S. Hackney who is shown on the 1850 Marshall county census age 67 and Mary age 67 with John H Arnold age 25, Rachael 27, Amanda 5, William 3 and Joseph H. age 1. The Marshall county records shows Presley George Hackney married Alzada Elliott in Marshall county in 1848. We are descendants of Presley George Hackney. P.G.. Hackney is show on the 1857 district 11 agricultural census. John S. Hackney lived within Maury county before Marshall county was formed. I will appreciate any help I can get. Bill Smith.
