List Members: A few days ago I put a post on this list about Peter LUNA. At our Chestnut Ridge Cousins Reunion we had Cherel Henderson for a speaker. Cherel is with the East Tennessee Historical Society and she was the author of the book "First Families of Tennessee". In order to qualify for this distinction the ancestor had to reside in the state by the year 1796. Well, Peter Luna is listed as a member of the first families. The notation in the book reads as follows: PETER LUNA (LOONEY) BORN: 1759-60, Augusta Co., VA; DIED 1851 Marshall Co., TN; MARRIED Mary Pittman (and/or Long); County Settled Long Island, 1776; PROOF: Revolutionary War Pension.
